Happy Healthy Vegan Burgers
Have this tasty burger in lettuce leaves for gluten-free bun options. Also perfect with our personal favourites   guacamole, sauerkraut and sweet potato chips!

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180℃ (350℉).
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Gently saute garlic, ½ the onions, mushrooms, and sage in olive oil. Set aside.
  4. Combine the remaining ingredients with the sauteed mixture in a food processor, Thermomix or mixing bowl. Mix well. (If using a mixing bowl make sure to chop everything finely.)
  5. Form ‘burger patties’ about ½ inch thick and lay them on the baking tray. (I use thin gloves as your hands will turn pink from the beetroot.)
  6. Bake 15-20 minutes on each side. Enjoy!

Extra Notes

Beetroot is packed with iron and lithium which make you happy and give you lots of energy. Brazil nuts are rich in selenium and healthy fats which are excellent for the thyroid. Shitake mushrooms are full of immune-boosting nutrients. Sage is excellent for hormones and parsley helps with detoxification.
